CORALINE
TACTILE BOOK COVER
This project's purpose was to reimagine a classic book cover in a tactile way. I chose to do Neil Gaiman's Coraline. The biggest challenge for this project for me was getting away from the iconic Tim Burton style of the Coraline film. I hand-stitched the title to make it look disheveled and unraveled using loose threads and knots to depict the unsteadiness of the other world. The hand illustration was inspired from an illustration in the book of the other mother's bony hand as she transformed into a monster at the end.
This book cover was created using Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign.
